Inspired by challenges finding care for her children and ailing parents, Sheila founded Care.com in 2006. Today, the public company is the world’s largest online care destination with 22 million members in 19 countries.
Sheila is a frequent speaker on leadership, technology and the care economy, and has presented alongside President Obama and with global leaders at Davos.
A recipient of the Harvard Business School Alumni Achievement Award, Sheila was inducted into Babson College’s Academy of Distinguished Entrepreneurs, received the Filipino Heritage Award from President Aquino, and received an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from Mount Holyoke. She is also a Henry Crown Fellow of the Aspen Institute and a member of Boston’s Massachusetts Competitive Partnership. In addition, Sheila sits on Boston Children’s Hospital Board of Trustees and the White House’s Library of Congress Trust Fund Board.
